Freddy’s Allergen Menu: Detailed Information

🗓️ 2026 Update (October 14, 2026): This allergen guide was rebuilt from Freddy’s current official nutrition and allergen chart. It now covers the new bowls, chili, Freddy’s Bevies and every custard topping. Freddy’s does not list allergens for a few items, and we say so where that happens. If you have a severe allergy, always confirm with the restaurant before ordering.

This guide shows which major allergens are in each item at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in 2026: milk, egg, wheat/gluten, soy, sesame, peanuts and tree nuts. It is based on Freddy’s official allergen chart. For calories and other nutrition, see our Freddy’s Nutrition guide.

Bowl Allergens

Bowls skip the bun, so most of them avoid wheat and sesame. The Crispy Chicken and Veggie Burger bowls still contain wheat because of the breading and the patty.

Frozen Custard and Topping Allergens

Freddy’s frozen custard is made with milk and egg yolks, so every concrete, sundae, shake and cone contains milk and egg. Freddy’s custard allergen rows did not load fully for us, so check the restaurant’s chart for a specific flavor. Mix-ins add their own allergens:

From Freddy’s official allergen chart, 2026. Freddy’s kitchens handle peanuts and tree nuts, so cross-contact is possible with any treat.

That means the Peanut Butter Bananza and Reese’s Royale contain peanuts, and the Signature Turtle contains pecans (tree nuts). See all flavors in our Frozen Custard guide.

Drink Allergens

Fountain sodas, Tropicana lemonades, Luzianne tea, Lipton Brisk, SoBe Lifewater and the Freddy’s Bevies lemonades and teas have no major allergens listed. The Freddy’s Bevies custard cream sodas contain milk and egg because they are made with custard cream.

Quick Picks by Allergy

🥛 NO MILK

Dairy-free ideas

A steakburger without cheese (Freddy’s still flags milk risk), a plain hot dog, chicken tenders, a fountain drink or applesauce. Skip all custard, cheese and the Bevies cream sodas.

🌾 NO WHEAT

Gluten-aware ideas

A Steakburger Bowl, Grilled Chicken Bowl, a bunless steakburger or hot dog, and applesauce. Fries and tots share fryers with breaded food. See our Gluten-Free guide.

💰 Tips for Ordering with Food Allergies

  • Tell the cashier first. Mention your allergy and ask what the restaurant can do to limit cross-contact.
  • Ask about the fryer. Fries and tots share oil with breaded items, which matters for wheat and milk allergies.
  • Remove the bun. Going bunless or ordering a bowl removes wheat, soy and sesame from most steakburgers.
  • Read toppings carefully. Peanuts and tree nuts appear in several mix-ins, and some others are flagged for cross-contact.
  • Check again later. Suppliers and recipes change, especially for limited-time items like Bacon Fest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Freddy’s have peanuts?

Yes. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce and Butterfinger toppings contain peanuts, and several other toppings are flagged as possibly containing peanuts. Because Freddy’s kitchens handle peanuts, cross-contact is possible with any custard treat.

Are Freddy’s fries gluten-free?

Freddy’s flags wheat and milk as a risk for its fries because they are cooked in the same fryers as breaded items. They are not a safe choice for celiac disease.

Does Freddy’s custard contain eggs?

Yes. Freddy’s frozen custard is made with milk and egg yolks, and the Bevies custard cream sodas also contain milk and egg.

Which Freddy’s items have sesame?

Freddy’s buns contain sesame, so steakburgers, chicken clubs, the veggie burger and hot dogs on a bun all list sesame. Bowls and bunless orders do not.

Is Freddy’s veggie burger vegan?

No. The Veggie Burger contains egg, and with cheese it also contains milk. It is also cooked on the same grill as meat.
